Chloë Le Pichon

Assistant Artistic Director

b. 1983, London, United Kingdom; lives in the Philadelphia area

Chloë Le Pichon came to the United States from Hong Kong, having grown up in a multicultural, bilingual household. She graduated from Swarthmore College in 2005 with a major in Studio Art. It was there that she fell in love with clay, taught at the time by Syd Carpenter. Soon after graduating she was raised three children while maintaining a ceramic home studio practice. Chloë has lifelong dedication and passion for the arts, in all its forms. As her children became older, Chloë held the position as Director of Admissions for Main Line Classical Academy, a nascent private school dedicated to the Liberal Arts, for several years. She is now thrilled to devote her energies to furthering the success of Graver’s Lane Gallery and immersing herself in the world of Contemporary Studio Craft.

Joseph Miceli

Associate Artistic Director

b. 1960, upstate New York; lives and works in the Philadelphia area

After receiving his undergraduate degree from Nazareth College of Rochester, NY, Joseph relocated to Philadelphia in 1991 to pursue an MFA in printmaking at Tyler School of Art and Architecture of Temple University.  As the recipient of a Tyler Galleries Assistantship he gained experience as an art handler and preparator in the Exhibitions Department while continuing his master’s program studies.  He was promoted to the Assistant to the Director of Exhibitions position for multiple Temple Gallery locations in Rittenhouse Square and Old City.  In 1999, Mr. Miceli acquired Langman Gallery, a nationally recognized and respected fine art and craft gallery in the Philadelphia suburbs, which he co-owned and managed for almost 20 years.  There he forged the majority of his professional relationships with American craftspeople from across the country through studio visits and craft trade shows, his gallery’s commitment to exhibiting the work of numerous artists and as a liaison for special commissions or acquisitions requested by his collectors and clientele.  In addition to joining the expanding team at Gravers Lane Gallery, Joseph recently returned to his studio to focus on painting.
