Tempesta di Mare: A French Experience
Alongside literature, the visual arts, and cuisine, music has been an integral part of the French experience, especially during the 18th-century. Adam Pearl performs harpsichord solos from the late Baroque period by Claude-Bénigne Balbastre (harpsichord teacher to Thomas Jefferson’s daughters while in Paris), Élisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Jacques Duphly, and François Couperin. Pearl talks about why this music lives as viscerally today as it did centuries ago. Click here to buy tickets.
