April 30 Wissahickon Clean-up in Northwest Philadelphia A Success
Philadelphia, PA--Over 60 volunteers removed 50 bags of trash from the Wissahickon Creek on Saturday, April 30. The clean up effort focused on the area near Germantown Avenue and Bells Mill Road and was an annual event led by Friends of the Wissahickon and the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association.

Founded in 1924, Friends of the Wissahickon is a 1,600-member nonprofit organization and works in partnership with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation to restore historical park structures, eliminate invasive plant species, monitor watershed management issues, and restore trails throughout the Wissahickon Park. Follow FOW on Facebook and Twitter.
