On October 4 the Chestnut Hill Center for Enrichment and Center on teh Hill are co sponsoring an afternoon program called Senior Crime Prevention University.

The are asking for pre-registrations to either the CHCE office 215-248-0180, or Center on the Hill 215-247-4654. To be held at the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill, 8855 Germantown Avenue. The speaker is Ameer Blackmon, Education and Outreach Specialist for the Attorney General’s office.

The speaker is a member of the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, specifically their Education Department for the Philadelphia Office. He will talk about the many ways senior citizens are targeted for scams and fraud of all types, and how elders can avoid falling victim to the many ways they can be ripped off
